01 / The starting point

A place to understand.
Uses to question.

One floor contains a seldom-used guest room and an awkward storage area, while the main bathroom remains detached from the bedroom. The study considers how these spaces could become one coherent suite.

Design perspective for Suite Horizon
Design visualisation: a spatial proposal developed to make the design intent clear.

02 / The intention

What the proposal
seeks to resolve.

Create a complete principal suite—bedroom, dressing room and shower room—without weighing down the volume or competing with the view of the lake.

03 / The design direction

An atmosphere conceived
as a continuous thread.

The landscape sets the tone: greyed blues, brushed oak, pale stone and mist-coloured textiles. A continuous line of joinery absorbs the dressing room and naturally leads towards the shower room.

Design palette: natural materials, muted tones and tactile finishes.

04 / The design decisions

Precise choices,
connected to a use.

Every choice responds to the starting point and shows how KAMILI connects layout, use, light and materials.

01

Unite

A proposed wall relocation redistributes the useful floor area around a clear axis, subject to the necessary technical checks.

02

Let storage disappear

Flush-fronted wardrobes match the walls, allowing the view to remain the true focal point.

03

Establish calm

Indirect lighting, natural textiles and matt surfaces create a restful atmosphere from morning to evening.

05 / Initial state & proposal

Compare the starting point
with KAMILI’s intention.

These visualisations form part of a spatial study. They develop an initial state and a design proposal; they do not document a completed project.

06 / The intended quality

A clearer response,
in use and atmosphere.

The proposal aims to make the floor simpler to inhabit: daily routines no longer cross, storage is integrated and the landscape remains the true focus.

Nature of the study

Spatial studyAn independent study developed by KAMILI to present a design process and point of view. It does not document a completed project.

Designer’s note

We wanted to reveal the rarest quality of this place: its silence. Every element was designed to accompany the landscape, never to stage it too emphatically.
